Gifts are always special ways of expressing a lot of our emotions. It is really pleasurable to receive gifts which a person has given with a lot of love. The price of these gifts is seldom considered when the receiver thinks of the giver. What really counts is the thought that has gone into it. One has to think really hard to get the appropriate Christmas gift ideas.

This Christmas I decided to surprise my loved ones with the best gifts. I decided to start well in advance. This would enable me to check out the various Christmas gifts available in the market. With several Christmas gift ideas in hand I can easily select the best ones for my family members.

With so much of time on hand, I tried to find out the preferences of my family members. I began with my mom. She is one person who spends most of her time preparing for this grand festival. As a result she leaves no time for herself. I wanted to get her something that she would really appreciate. I got her one of the latest mobile phone. It is something that she had wanted since a long time.

When I thought of getting something for my dad, I was really puzzled. I mean don’t we always think that dads generally have all the money in the world. They can buy what they want. There were so many Christmas gift ideas in my mind but I was not quite sure which he would like the best. I hunted a lot and finally got him an awesome tie. I am quite sure he will love it.

Finally for my younger brother, I thought of purchasing a camcorder. I hunted for the one which would be equipped with the latest technology and yet would be affordable. I got the perfect one which is really very portable. My brother has a knack for photography and video recording. I am sure he will be overjoyed to receive this gift.

When I first set out to shop for these amazing gifts for my family members I was not sure if I would get the desired choice and range. I am glad that not only did I get various options to buy from but I could also pick up things that best fit my budget. It is best to think of all possible Christmas gift ideas before hand. These days with so much variety in the market, that should not be a difficult task.

The Epson Stylus SX400 bares striking resemblance to the DX8400 it replaces and it likely that it was used as a platform on into which the SX400 was built. Apparently, has a new ‘colour ID’, which means different shades of dark grey and black for its case. It also has an improved paper tray design, both front and rear. Tray changes may sound trivial, but in both cases the improvements provide more paper support and, in the case of the feed tray, stops paper flopping forward and acquiring a curve when you’re not printing. The SX400 uses the same four colour printer ink system found in the DX8400 with four separate ink cartridges so only ink that is used needs to be replaced making it economical in the long run. A set for Epson SX400 ink cartridges cost a not so economical £30 while a set of compatible Epson inks cost a more reasonable £15. In the front of the printer are two memory card sockets, for all the usual types, and a PictBridge socket which enables printing directly from memory cards and digital cameras. In terms of performance there is no change from the DX8400, print quality is excellent with a class leading 5760dpi x 1440dpi which not only produces pink sharp photo prints but also text documents with dark crisp print. The Stylus SX400 uses a Contact Image Sensor (CIS) scanner, which has a good resolution for a flatbed of 1,200 by 2,400 which results in great scanned images with impressive speed. Epson’s software bundle is pretty comprehensive with photo editing and OCR text recognition software as well as the usual printer drivers. The photo copier makes use of the A4 flatbed scanner and strikes a good balance between quality and speed. It also works without the need for the SX400 to be contacted to a PC. Overall The SX400 is a small improvement on an already good multifunctional printer.
